Services

The Public Works department provides ongoing maintenance services for the County's roads, bridges, buildings, parks and sidewalks.  As part of this effort, they remove snow, mow grass, remove brush and trees, and fill potholes on an ongoing basis.  The County employs students during the summer for a wide range of tasks from power washing bridges to weed wacking around buildings.  In addition, there are larger projects that need approval, civil design and permitting.

From the Turkey Hill store at Roaring Spring off Rt 99 to the Sheetz at Claysburg.

#102 - 0.8 miles long 

From the entrance to Valley View Homes and Honda Dealership off of Pleasant valley blvd, then circles around and turns left at the Y to Valley View till it meets the road at Dean Patterson dealership, Altoona.

#103 - Airport Entrance Road: 0.5 miles long

From Rt 866 to the intersection with Aviation Way, Martinsburg.

#104 - Cranberry Road: 1.4 miles long 

From the intersection of Rt 866 and Cranberry road and continues on Cranberry road 1.4 miles to Orchard Lane, Martinsburg.

#105 - Convention Center Blvd: 0.9 miles long 

From Rt 36, then goes past the Convention Center to the intersection with Plank Road, Altoona.

#105A - Convention Center Drive: 0.2 miles long
